Abstract EN

The Algerian narrative works were dominated by thethe historical reference, as the creator came from the very core of his society and made national history his subject matter.

He was able, with his imagination, to evoke the past in order to document our relationship with it and to link it to the present, based on an artistic vision in which he combined the glamour of fiction with the truth of history.

The first is through the interaction of history and its various manifestations in its general reference dimension, and the second is through the restoration of some of its faces and the establishment of a new historical consciousness in an aesthetic and imaginative way.

This research paper seeks to track history and reveal its relationship with the novel in a reading of EL HabibSayeh's novel EL Zaberber's Colonel.
