Abstract EN

This study aims to assess the extent to which unconventional financing has contributed to facing the public budget deficit and the extent to which it has achieved its objectives set in Algeria during the period (2017-2019), where the descriptive analytical approach was relied upon, which is commensurate with the nature of the subject being studied.

this study concluded that the application of unconventional financing in Algeria allowed the provision of a significant amount of liquidity during the period (2017-2019), which was directed to cover non-productive operating expenses, which prevented the possibility of restoring the country's internal and external balances in the same period.

this study proposes a set of recommendations to address the problem of the general budget deficit in Algeria through coordination between the financial and monetary policy tools, and the creation of real sources of financing.
