Abstract EN

The informal economy phenomenon has become a major threat to the Algerian economy, given the significant material losses affecting the public treasury.

our paper aims to study the growth reasons of one of informal economy genre (economic crime) in Algeria.

the most important results that have been achieved are that it is the poor social conditions that have favored the growth of this dangerous type of informal economy in Algeria, and that the measures taken to combat it still suffering from major shortcomings.

we have put forward a number of recommendations that have resulted in the need to reduce the poverty rate, review the laws and penalties for economic crimes and strengthen the rigor of their application.
