Abstract EN

This research aims to study and analyze the impact of the Corona virus (COVID-19) on the most important macroeconomic indicators in Algeria, as well as shedding light on the most important preventive measures and measures taken by the Algerian government in order to contain the pandemic and their effectiveness.

Through this study, we concluded that the Corona pandemic negatively affected the global economy in general and the Algerian economy in particular, and this is due to the fact that the Algerian economy is a rentier economy that depends in its revenues on the hydrocarbon sector in a large proportion, and in order to address such crises it is necessary to adopt diversification Economic and out of oil dependency.
