Abstract EN

This study aims to find out the opportunities to exploit electronic training and its role in the rehabilitation of information specialists in libraries during service.

to achieve its objectives, the study used the descriptive and analytical approach to identify mechanisms for developing the personal capabilities of the information specialist depending on what professional institutions offer in the field foremost of which is IFLA and ALA.

the study found that professional associations and institutions contribute significantly to information literacy and professional development for specialists in the library field through the formulation of a rich set of training programs.

some of them are included under the general strategy of the institution, as is the case for IFLA, and some are developed to meet the requirements of the librarian in exceptional circumstances, such as the ALA / COVID19-recovery site that was developed during the corona pandemic.
