Abstract EN

The pro-integration activists in the Algerian national movement went through stages of ideological development within colonial circumstances.

however, it witnessed the beginning of an intellectual shift in the post-1945 period, which influenced the ideas of the movement by adhering to the demands of the Algerian people's manifesto in 1943 and adopting the slogan of “revolution via law” as the principle of action and applying elections as an available means of struggle.

this party has witnessed a change in its position towards the French colonialism from integration to demanding the establishment of a democratic and social Algerian republic.

besides, its conception for the party's general policy and objectives has changed as its concept for coexistence has changed.

it also supported the national unity through its participation in the Algerian front for defending and respecting freedom.
