This study aims to attempt to highlight the extent of the effectiveness of monetary policy in Algeria during the five-year program period from 2015 to 2019, which appeared with the beginning of the application of monetary policy separately in a macroeconomic context characterized by relatively high inflation, a large deficit in the balance of payments and the general budget, this context is very different from the context in the banking arena above, and in order to know and analyze the impact of monetary policy performance in general, it is necessary to review and know what the direct and indirect tools are actually adopted to influence the volume of money supply during the same period.

then, to analyze the extent to which these tools contributed to achieving the ultimate objectives of monetary policy.
