This study aims to shed light on local development programs at the municipal level and their sources of financing, and show the role it plays in achieving the dimensions of sustainable development with all its goals.

through field study at the level of the municipality of Bir el-Djir, supported by literary theories of various basic terms related to the subject of the study, we were able to ascertain the extent of the homogeneity of each of the dimensions and goals of sustainable development with those that the local groups (municipalities) seek to achieve through the powers conferred upon them, which practiced through local development programs.
