This study aims to clarify the role of environmental citizenship in realizing the right of healthy environment, by introducing the various approaches that show the content of the environmental citizenship's concept, and researching the foundations of its construction, to conclude that the ence of the concept of environmental citizenship -especially in developing countries - due to the saturation of false beliefs and ideas about environmental issues; While there is a need to intensify efforts and cooperation between the higher authorities in the state and the various segments of society in order to truly respond to the values of environmental citizenship, as It is a participatory concept between all the actors of the social game (the state, the private sector, individuals and civil society).
