the issue of belonging in general and national belonging in particular is one of the important topics that occupied and still preoccupy the thinking of psychologists, sociology, political science, social work and education...

especially since the first decade of the twenty-first century.

the current research was concerned with talking about national belonging, in terms of: definition, levels, types, importance, indicators.

institutions for building and supporting national belonging were also clarified, and the manifestations of weakness of national belonging, the reasons for this, and the means of building and strengthening it.

as an introduction to this topic, the concept of belonging was defined and its types were presented.

at the end of the research, the role of the social work profession in building and strengthening national belonging was clarified, and a set of recommendations were introduced that, if applied or practiced, could contribute to build and support national belonging.
