Imagery of death within the poetry of Salah Abdel-Sabour, thematic study.

this research is geared towards thematically study the imagery of death within the poetry of Salah Abdel-Sabour through his complete poetic works, on Dar al-Awda, Beirut ; in his poems, the remarkably spread of the word “death” has drawn our attention, and this may indicate that he lost the pleasure of life and lived a mental state that quivered his feelings.

therefore, this imagery has reflected the repression and tragedy deep in his heart.

since life constraints still remain an issue of concern, leading the poet to suffer from a state of contemplation and confusion on different life situation.

that's why, he has drawn this imagery to relieve himself and his pain, so the conscious expression about the reality of death is generated, forming the end of this mortal life.

accordingly, death appears to be the source of his apprehension of time, anxiety and fear of loss.
