Abstract EN
The current research aims to identify 1-Self-compassion among educational counselors 2-Statistically significant differences in self-compassion among educational counselors according to gender (males, females), length of service (1-5, 6-10, 11 and more) and school (primary, intermediate, preparatory).
To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher relied on the following: 1-Using the descriptive associative approach to detect self-compassion among educational counselors 2-Building a measure of self-compassion for educational counselors, based on the "Neff" theory of self-compassion, which consists of three bipolar dimensions (kindness in particular versus self-blame and awareness of shared humanity versus isolation and mental alertness versus excessive identification) and after completing the conditions of honesty, constancy and strength Discriminatory and internal consistency, it included (39) paragraphs distributed over its three dimensions.
3-To complement this, the researcher applied the two scales to a sample of (300) male and female guides in the schools of the center, districts and sub-districts affiliated to the General Directorate of Education for Qadisiyah, which were selected by stratified random method according to the proportional method.
After collecting the data and processing it statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), the research reached the following results: 1-The educational counselors in schools (primary, middle, and preparatory) enjoy self-compassion, that is, they can control and properly direct their life activities and provide assistance.
2-There are no statistically significant differences in the counselors' self-compassion degrees according to gender (males, females), and length of service (from 1-5, 6-10, 11 years and over).
3-There are no statistically significant differences in self-compassion among educational counselors according to the variable length of service (1-5 years, 6-10 years, 11 years and more).
(3,00), at the significance level (0.05) To complement the findings of the research, the researcher recommended several .recommendations and suggestions
