The maritime activity in the Mediterranean was greatly affected by this conflict between its shores, especially in the modern era that witnessed the great expansion of commercial capitalism, And the accompanying tendency of expansionism that was led by Spain and Portugal and then adopted by the rest of the European countries, and the Islamic world has endured the task of standing up to this expansion, which was of a colonial tendency.

This conflict has negatively affected the interests of all parties bordering it, especially the Islamic world.

The dangers faced by the maritime activity varied, so the ships faced several dangers, such as being attacked by pirates and the consequent of being captured and drowning or the need for maintenance and supplies, The coastal strip was vulnerable to the dangers coming from the sea, such as naval attacks and the Epidemics coming from the it, as well as refugee ships Etc.

Faced with all these challenges, the Maghreb regencies made great efforts to secure their maritime activity, whether individually or collectively, and this is what we will explain in this research paper.
