The establishment of the Rustamiya state in the Islamic Maghreb had a profound impact on the existence of Tiaret in the Central Maghreb.

From the beginning of laying the foundations of the city, the Rustamid imams set out to establish laws and regulations to run the country's economic affairs.

The industrial activity is among the vital activities that witnessed diversity and prosperity, through which the makers and artisans of the Rustum community were able to supply the Rustumiya markets and foreign markets with various and different manufactured materials.

Among them are the food, pottery, textile, and metal industries as a result of the availability of raw materials and materials that were provided by the activity of the peasants or what the Central Maghreb region had.

This is in addition to its availability through trading by bringing it from the countries of the Islamic Maghreb or the Islamic East and Western Sudan.
