This study seeks to shed light on the history of an important city in the Tiaret region, the city of Sougueur, through which we will try to present an analytical study and a clear historical reading of the history of the region before the French colonization, and to explain how the city was established and its stages of development, highlight the economic status of the region, and track the activity of its weekly market.

Also, we cannot fail to show the contribution of the city of Sougueur to the liberational revolution between 1954-1962, and the men who gave their lives for their homeland, and we will discuss the most important battles fought by the Mujahideen in the region.
