Abstract EN

The purpose of the research is to test the relationship between the commitment of video journalism to the professional and ethical standards governing it and its role in addressing the issues and events of Egyptian society and the trends of the public mood to read from their point of view.

The study was based on the method of surveying and methodical comparison in both descriptive and analytical aspects، and the sample of the study was 678 individuals of the general public applied through the electronic questionnaire.

The study found that one of the most important issues and events presented by video journalism (domestic crimes) as the trends in addressing issues in video journalism were positive by 43.07% .

The study proved the validity of the imposition of statistically significant differences between averages of the grades of the respondents on the general mood scale and the adherence to professional and ethical standards was the most important factor for the survival of video journalism from the point of view of the following audience.

The study proved the validity of the imposition that there are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the surveyed on the measure of follow-up of the issues and events of society according to the type (male-female) as well as the validity of the imposition that states that there are no statistically significant differences between the average grades of the respondents on the scale of follow-up of the issues and events of society according to the level of education (less than a university - university - higher than a university).
