The character of Questa bin Luke Baalbaki al-hakim is one of the most important figures that had a great influence on islamic philosophy in the Abbasid era.

Ibn al-Andalus al-Andalusi in his book layers of nations described these three as saying: (and they were three scientists in the kingdom of Islam with the science of philosophy in their time).

the three scientists played a major role in the fields of medicine, astrology, astronomy, speech science and mathematics, as well as their influential role in transmitting diverse Greek heritage to Arabic.

Quta hakim played an important role in the transfer of the Greek manuscripts from Byzantium to the centers of Arab Islamic civilization in Baghdad and Samarra for the purpose of transferring them to Arabic language with the encouragement and support of the Abbasid authority in order to learn about the ancient heritage and know the areas of benefiting from it in the Islamic heritage.

the article has divided to three section, first section deals with the biography of Qusta, through the statements of his historians.

the second has showed the cultural areas in which al hakim excelled.

the third focused on his contributions to translation and composition in various sciences and human knowledge fields.
