Abstract EN

The Camusian work is a plural work, which embraces several genres: the novel, the essay, the theater, the press.

This generic plurality is palpable even within each text.

Different genres intersect and intertwine in each of his books.

In The Fall, for example, at least two genres can be identified: the novel and the essay.

Behind the narration of the story of Clamence that is told to him, the reader can easily identify a philosophical reflection on themes very present in Camusian thought: judgment, guilt, death.

It is this entanglement between essayistics and literature, not sufficiently studied in Camus, that we will analyze here.

We will therefore study the mechanism of the insertion of philosophical thought into Camus' novel writing
