تعد قضيه المرأة من أهم قضايا المجتمع التي ثار الجدل حولها بشكل كبير في القديم و الحديث، و شغلت النخب و المشرعين في جميع الدول على اختلاف مرجعياتهم السماوية و الأرضية؛ و لقد زادت معاناة المرأة في الفترة الحديثة و المعاصرة من سياسات و أعمال الحركة الاستعمارية، مما جعل الأصوات تتعالى من جديد في عصر النهضة للمطالبة برفع قيود الاستعمار عنها.
قدم بعض رواد النخبة الإصلاحية الجزائرية منذ القرن 19 آرائهم ومواقفهم حول قضايا المرأة، و أبرزهم محمد بن مصطفي بن الخوجة الذي رأى أن الكثير من معوقات النهضة ناتجة عن التخلف الذي تعيش فيه المرأة و بالتالي الأسرة فالمجتمع، وقد برزت مساهمته في مجموعة من التآليف و المقالات المنشورة في الصحف الجزائرية و العربية؛ تطرح هذه الورقة البحثية إشكالية أساسية تتمثل في مدى تمكن الشيخ ابن خوجة من تصحيح النظرة القديمة و الرد على الأطروحات الإستشراقية - الاستعمارية في الجزائر و العالم الإسلامي حول دور المرأة في المجتمع؟ تحاول هذه الدراسة البحث في آراء بن الخوجة حول تحرير المرأة، وذلك من خلال إبراز أهم القضايا المتعلقة بالمرأة التي تناولها في كتاباته، اعتمادا على كتيباته و مقالاته الصحفية كمادة أولية للبحث إضافة إلى مجموعة من الوثائق الجديدة المتحصل عليها من أرشيف عائلته.

Abstract EN
The issue of women is one of the most important issues of society, about which controversy arose greatly in the ancient and modern times, and preoccupied the elites and legislators in all countries, regardless of their heavenly and earthly references.
Some of the pioneers of the Algerian reformist elite since the 19th century contributed their views and positions on women's issues, most notably Muhammad bin Mustafa bin Al Khoja, who saw that many of the obstacles to the renaissance resulted from the underdevelopment in which women lived and thus the family and society.
This research paper raises a basic problem represented in the extent to which Sheikh Ibn Khoja was able to correct the old view and respond to the Orientalist-colonial theses in Algeria and the Islamic world about the role of women in society? This study attempts to research Ibn Al-Khoja's views on women's liberation, by highlighting the most important issues related to women that he addressed in his writings, based on his pamphlets and press articles as a primary material for research, in addition to a set of new documents obtained from the archives of the Ibn Khoja family.
