This study aims to highlight the role of digital transformation in moving the wheel of economic development, by presenting various concepts related to digital transformation, and addressing digital readiness and its use in Algeria and the plans and strategies adopted in it, and finally to highlight the contribution of digital transformation to achieving sustainable development, and the study concluded To many results, the most important of which are: the contribution of digitization to increasing economic growth and achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, through achieving economic development goals, especially those related to poverty eradication, providing quality health and education, achieving gender equality, promoting inclusive economic growth, and providing decent work building strong infrastructures, stimulating industrialization and innovation.
