Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of application of the principles of governance and its role in achieving quality standards in three institutions (University of Setif-1, University Center in Mila and the Higher School of Statistics and Applied Economics in Algiers) through a survey of a sample of 476 teachers.

The study reached a number of results; the most important of which is that the level of application of the principles of governance in the institutions of higher education in the study was average.

In contrast, the level of availability of quality criteria was very low, with significant differences in views according to some control variables.

The results also showed a role for the principles of governance in achieving quality through their significant positive and strong impact on quality criteria, with other factors also affecting quality.
