Abstract EN

The concept of dualism in its many forms is of great importance in the history of human thought.

from the dualism of essence and accident–both divine and human-soul and body, good and evil, self and object, up to the dualism of the ego and the other, the centrality of the term seemed to be firmly established in most philosophical systems throughout human history.

while most dualisms seem to embody the struggle of opposites, which is based on siding with one party without the other and then letting it have superiority according to the logic of favoritism (differentiation), human thought, in the ancient east, in turn, used to put us in front of complementary dichotomies that cannot be established without its parties, as it is impossible to exclude or displace one party for the other party to have overwhelming superiority.

it seems-and the case is so-that the logic of dualism is inseparable from its history, and, thus, it is necessary to contemplate the meaning of dualism and the multiplicity of its forms as it appeared in ancient Egyptian thought to show its repercussions on the religious, social, and political levels.

perhaps the total issues addressed by the author within the text under study reveal the predominance of integrative dualism that rooted the concepts of harmony and amicability in a manner that achieves solidarity and integration of the constituent elements of the prevailing system at the time.
