Normally, each philosophical proposition always asserts in a strong way that it is something new.

the reason for this is that things are not going the way the common people think at first sight.

every person lives his life differently, and here lies the seed of paradoxes.

the tendency to paradox has always shown in all times its strong preference for bold risk taking.

the paradox is the opposition to the ideas followed and transmitted through the heritage, and it derives its strength from the severity of these oppositions.

the preferred field for paradoxes is ethics in which philosophy was occupied with the analysis of recognized behavioral values.

in this regard, exciting ideas and powerful shocking currents emerged.

Epicurus was prompted to oppose the concept of pleasure that Socrates, politicians, and all people who dream of virtue hold.

Epicurus, however, wants to prove that pleasure is the value that one seeks since childhood, but he was eventually led to a mental and spiritual aspect.

as for knowledge, Epicurus has opposed the capacity of reason alone to reach the truth, and said that sensory perceptions are certain.

nevertheless, facing the reality of deception of the senses, he was forced to link the certainty of sensory perceptions to some conditions.

every moral and epistemological theory of stature aspires to rely on paradox in order to build its attractive force.
