The research aims to determine the effectiveness of a training program on Ibn Rushd’s philosophy for developing the dimensions of mental enlightenment and the trend towards philosophy.

the student has a philosophy teacher at the faculty of education-Alexandria university.

to achieve this goal, the researcher used the two approaches : descriptive, and pre-experimental with one group, and the research procedures began by arriving at a theoretical framework to search for : (mental enlightenment, the trend towards philosophy; in addition to Ibn Rushd’s philosophy), then preparing the research tools, which are : (the mental enlightenment test, scale of attitude towards philosophy), and their application to the research sample consisting of 19 student-teacher students in the third year-division of philosophy, using arithmetic averages, percentages, t-test ; Several results of the research were reached, the most important of which were : (the training program on Ibn Rushd's philosophy is effective in developing mental enlightenment and the trend towards philosophy) ; the student has a philosophy teacher, then arrives at a set of recommendations and proposed research.
