The study of the Qasr al-Rehab massacre on July 14, 1958 AD is one of the important and dangerous events in the modern history of Iraq, because of its profound impact on its political, economic and social history, as it resulted in the fall of the monarchy and the declaration of the republic after King “Faisal II” met the last king of the Hashemite family in Iraq.

The guardian of the throne, Prince "Abdul-Ilah" and the princesses of the Hashemite House - with the exception of Princess "Badia", the only survivor - were killed at the hands of the putschists, which provoked the discontent of local and international circles, This study aims to demystify the story of this massacre, and explore its secrets, as it took place in the garden of Al-Rehab Palace and in front of dozens of eyewitnesses.

The research also sheds light on Al-Rehab Palace, the scene of the massacre, besides talking about the princesses of the family, the research also monitored the local and international reactions towards the massacre.
