The art of the novelist biography is an emerging art in Arabic literature.

the novel is a fictional narration whose events are based on real or fictional characters.

in the autobiography, the writer tells the story of his life, and from here the relationship between the autobiography and the novel is generated.

which created a new literary genre, which is the autobiographical novel and its basic elements.

this research discusses the basic elements in the autobiographical novel and the relationship of these elements with the body of the two novels, the subject of the study, ""a small death, Jabal Qaf"", relying on dealing with a character who has a wide reputation in Arab culture, the Sufi character Muhyiddin Ibn Arabia, as he is the main character in both novels.

in both novels, the elements of the autobiographical novel were present in several forms, including two elements: the first: the pact or the contract, and the second: the congruence between the author, the narrator, and the character.

he mentioned some points of congruence between the author, the narrator, and the character in the two novels.

I chose for this research the descriptive- analytical approach, which provides a description of the selected texts and reveals the objective and technical transformations that appeared in them through the applied study.

this research, which is entitled: ""elements of the autobiographical novel"", consists of an introduction, a preface, two chapters, and a conclusion, and is proven by sources and references.

introduction: it includes a brief summary of the topic, then the research method, and the research plan.

introduction: I talked about the biography and the novel and the thorny relationship between them.

the first topic: included talking about the charter or the contract and its importance in determining the literary genre.

the second topic: it clarified the congruence between the narrator, the character and the author, and then included the areas of this congruence in each of the two novels.

conclusion: included our findings and emphasized the importance of the topic.
