Abstract EN

This study, from the perspective of cultural criticism, deals with the analysis of the poetic play" Hatshepsut at zero degree" by the Egyptian writer Mahdi Bondok, to research the cultural patterns implicit in the text, and the role of these patterns in developing the critical vision of the theatrical text, and deepen the levels of understanding and multiplicity of its connotations.

In order to open the horizons of Arab creativity on all theories of international criticism as a human product, we have the legitimacy of interaction with it.

The first topic discusses the meaning and importance of cultural criticism, its origins, historical development, features and objectives, how the theory moved to our Arab world, and how Arab critics practiced their cultural criticism of Arab literary works.

The second topic discusses the dramatic structure of the play, as well as the cultural formats that it includes, such as the scientific format, the historical format, the psychological format, the social format, the feminist format and the political format.

And how they overlapped among themselves and produced a very rich and culturally valuable theatrical text.

Thus, it can be said that cultural criticism has added to the text and endowed it with multiple semantic energies.

The main problem in this research is the ability to create an approach between cultural criticism and poetic play, without prejudice to the Basic Rules of criticism that are based on aesthetic and literary values, and this is what we will try to achieve in this study.
