The propagation of the COVID 19 pandemic across the world has imposed an isolation on two-thirds of the world’s population.

the social isolation pretends to preserve public health and stop the spread of the virus by imposing on individuals to stay at home, restrict the movement of citizens and closing public places, these restrictions have a negative impact on society.

one of the lockdown’s consequences is a global expansion of conjugal violence.

through this article, we will examine the needs of Moroccan women victims of conjugal violence during this period through the reports and statistics of the association to activate initiatives in the Taza region, and also by relying on interviews victims in the shelter center of the same association after they were exposed to violence by the husband.

and they left the marital home.in conclusion, the lockdown revealed an increase in conjugal violence, as it showed the resistance of women to this violence.

however, the intervention of governmental and non-governmental institutions to reduce this violence is still limited, which requires redoubling of efforts.
