This paper discusses the relationship between life and politics as reflected in the concept of political biology, that concept developed by the French thinker Michel Foucault and used in most of his writings, and then used by the Italian thinker Giorgio Agamben to continue to follow Foucault's excavations, even if it was applied to the field of law.

initially, the paper seeks to dismantle the concept of political biology and the concepts associated with it, which are at the same time the methodological tools that each of them used, I mean the concepts of genealogy and archeology, in an attempt to clarify the relationship between life and politics in the presence of past and present epidemics.
