Abstract EN

The current research aims to reveal the role of Nubian women in coping with the pandemic and how to adapt with the crises arising from it.

the research adopted the descriptive, historical, and limited comparative approach, using the interview and observation approach.

the research was conducted on a purposive sample that included ten cases of Nubian women who had a prominent role in coping with the COVID 19.

field data were collected by using the in-depth interview guides.

the research highlighted a set of results, most importantly: activists Nubian women presented-in search community-several models of resisting the epidemic and adapted to its crises, as they adopted the initiative to distribute masks free of charge and were keen to clean their house and the street on a daily basis.

in addition, they activated the role of women's associations in coping with the pandemic in several ways, as they presented: the stay home initiative, organized many educational seminars.

moreover, they worked on re-discovering the role of past heritage “Karama Arga” in facing the pandemic.
