This research aims to clarify the role of national projects in achieving sustainable development goals, by clarifying the concept of national projects, which means that they are those projects that the state establishes and sponsors and provides the necessary investments for them with the trend towards attracting investments from the national and foreign private sector, and this leads to attract human energies and diversify the areas of development that can be achieved, and this works to overcome the challenges of sustainable development on the three dimensions of economic, social and environmental, and the possibility of linking national projects and achieving those goals, as the size of those projects that have been completed and are currently being implemented exceeds what has been accomplished in 30 years, we find that the projects that were implemented during the period from 2014 to 2018 reshaped Egypt's development map, provided job opportunities for youth, and attracted foreign and domestic investments.

the number of these projects reached 7777 at a cost of 1.61 trillion Egyptian pounds, and 3392 projects at a cost of 1.13 trillion are currently being implemented.

it is also planned to implement 4134 projects worth 0.17 trillion pounds, and we find that these projects led to a growth in GDP.

the total value reaches 5.6%, a decrease in the state’s total deficit, a decrease in the unemployment rate, and an increase in the percentage of foreign reserves in the central bank.

this is the result of government efforts to achieve sustainable development goals through national projects.
