Abstract EN

The study aimed to explore the reality of e-training department at the deanship of distance learning at Taibah university from the viewpoint of female teaching staff under e-training pattern.

the study was applied to a sample of (90) female trainees representing (30%) of the study population of (312) trainees during 1433 ah and 1435ah using the descriptive survey methodology.

the study used as its tool the questionnaire distributed over four themes (planning for e-training, organizing E-training, implementing e-training, and evaluating e-training).

the most prominent findings include: the reality of e-training department at the deanship of distance learning at Taibah university from the viewpoint of female teaching staff under e-training pattern is high with a general arithmetic mean of (3.83), where (organizing E-training) theme came in the first position in terms of the degree of availability, with an arithmetic mean of (4.01).

(evaluating E-training) theme came at the last position with a high score in terms of the degree of availability, with an arithmetic mean of (3.61).

there are statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the arithmetic means of the responses of the study sample on the management of E-training due to the “faculty” variable in favour of science faculties.

in light of the study findings several recommendations and suggestions have been made, which can be useful to those in-charge of training in universities and others with respect to adopting e-training as an important and complimentary method to the conventional training method because it raises the professional and technical level of teaching staff as well as overcomes the time and place obstacles.
