Abstract EN

The present study aim was to enhance the performance of the school library specialists at al-Azhar al-Sharif in the light of organizational culture by identifying the insufficiency aspects in the performance of the school library specialists at al-Azhar al-Sharif, and afterwards present a suggested framework for enhancing the performance of the school library specialists at al-Azhar al-Sharif.

the researcher used the descriptive method which depended on survey as a tool of the research which was applied on a sample of (216) school library specialists and supervisors as well as headmasters in primary, preparatory and secondary stages at the institutes of al-Azhar at Aswan governorate.

employees need to enhance their skills and the abilities related to innovation in order to cope with the advancing changes.

activating the systems of selecting, employing, training, promoting, performance evaluation and motivating the employees ; as they are the fundamental bases to raise discipline, responsibility and commitment, besides loyalty and training employees to innovate, create and expressing their opinions and self-control.

the most important components of organizational culture which affect discipline are justice, efficiency and group work.

a culture that consider the human element as the first priority to generate a readiness to use full energy and invest loyalty.

increasing the school librarian interest in the effective behavioral patterns that support the function of the library.

revising the law of school libraries related to responsibilities of school librarian in order to direct the library to broadcast knowledge no to preserve consignment and records.

increasing the ability of continuing education to the school librarian to cope up with the developments in the field.
