Abstract EN

The study deals with the interpretation of the word in the Qur’an by mentioning its opposite in the same verse or in the next verse, and this is a gentle type of interpretation, and it is a type of interpretation of the Qur’an by the Qur’an.

it is a unique study since no one has dealt with the interpretation of the Qur’an by the Qur’an so far.

the Qur’an contains a large number of such interpretations.

some of the meanings are clear and thus are not included in this study.

the present study focuses and deals with those which need clarifications.

the study is applied to the two Surat of al-Baqarah and al-Imran, in (47) verses.

the importance of the study lies in the fact that it referred to this type of interpretation of the Qur’an.

where the meaning becomes clear by mentioning the word and its opposite.

the study consists of two sections, the first : the interpretation of the singular Qur'anic word with its singular opposite in the verse.

the second : the interpretation of the Qur’anic sentence with its opposite contained in the verse, whether it is a sentence or a singular one.

the study adopts the applied analytical inductive method.

results of the study show that the interpretation of the word by mentioning its opposite in the verse is a kind of interpretation of the Qur’an by the Qur’an, and that it has many examples in the Qur’an.

results also show that the word (verse) may be applied to the two successive verses, and that the opposites are terms that appear in many language and interpretation books.

the study recommended applying this type of interpretation to the rest of the Surah of the Qur’an
