Abstract EN

In this article, we are trying to get to know the position of the Algerian university in the process of sustainable national development.

is it a factor of comprehensive development like other universities? or that many of the problems that flounder in it have affected its course and objectives? is the socioeconomic environment that was counting on this scientific edifice for its feedback, has become "effective" for the university due to the large number of "consumption" and the lack of "production"? and to what extent can the university in its current form continue to interact with the local economic and social reality in light of what the external changes impose on the latter.

this study has determined the most important axes through which the university contributes to the task of economic and social development in Algeria.
