This research paper aims to reveal the most important features of the literary text construction in the ancient critical discourse, by citing the opinions of the old critics who dealt with this issue by treatment and foundation, but the focus will be on the outstanding critic "Abdul Qaher al-Jarjani" through what he mentioned in his critical books about the literary text construction.

the study first dealt with the linguistic and idiomatic concept of the word "text" to move to define the corresponding terms that the ancient critics used in their various works, to end with highlighting the concept of the literary text of the critic al-Jarjani and the most important foundations that the study laid, regarding these two issues.

a number of sources and references to help determine the merits of the case, as required by the accurate scientific method.
