Abstract EN

This study aimed to show the role played by small and medium-sized enterprises in diversifying the Algerian economy outside the hydrocarbon sector during the period 2000-2019, and this is because the latter are considered among the vital sources of economic development.

The results of measuring the impact of the added value of small and medium enterprises on the GDP outside the hydrocarbon sector showed that there is a causal relationship between the value added of small and medium enterprises and the GDP outside the hydrocarbon sector, in addition to a positive relationship between them.
