Abstract EN

This study aims at finding out the role that physical education class plays in developing cooperative learning among middle school pupils, 105 pupils from different middle schools in Ain Defla took part in this study.

the researcher used the descriptive method and divided the research into two sides : the theoretical side, and the applied side that includes the practical study, the analysis and discussion of the results and conclusion, based on a questionnaire consisted of three cooperative learning components (participation-helping others-following instructions).

the researcher found out that the physical education class plays an important role in promoting effective participation among pupils in regard to helping classmates and following instructions.

thus, the researcher encourages practicing sports in educational institutions because of its significant role in promoting cooperative learning among pupils.
