Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight how the feature of the elite sports coach affects the psychological dimension of young players, as he is an educational figure who aims primarily to familiarize those who aspire to work in the field of training with the duties, characteristics, traits, knowledge and motives that are related to the personality of the sports coach and the nature of his work until he becomes in they can prepare themselves for such work, and for this purpose we used the descriptive approach on a sample consisting of handball coaches for the League of Algiers Wilaya, and their number was estimated by the number : 18, and the handball athletes for the league of the state of Algeria, and their number was estimated by the number : 30, which were deliberately selected to collect the data.

after collecting the results and statistically processing them, it was concluded that the leadership process is not limited to the coach alone, regardless of his attributes and functions, but goes beyond him to the type of leadership style he uses, because the type of relationships prevailing within the sports team between the coach and young athletes depends on the nature of the leadership style followed by the coach's side within the club, whether this leadership style is autocratic, democratic, or chaotic, and on this basis the study recommended that the success or failure of any team this is due to many factors, including the nature of leadership prevailing in it.
