Plagiarism is an long-standing problem at Arab universities, it has worsened with technological development and computerization, which requires those in positions of responsibility to get involved in saving the future of Arab universities and scientific research from the specter that continually threatens it.

In fact, nowadays, the mission of most of researchers is getting limited to copy-and-paste technique, and plagiarism of others ideas and style.

Therefore, the question that arises in this regard is : what will be the fate of the generations formed by those who cheat and take advantage of the achievements of others? with this paper, we are trying to sound the alarm about the threat hanging over scientific research, and to recommend some solutions to tackle the phenomenon of scholarly plagiarism, and to work towards preserving the principles of scientific integrity.
