The research and innovation systems are also undergoing far-reaching changes, through digital technologies and their movements in addition to the increasing demand and the need to cope with the social challenges today, these changes have an enormous impact on the research and development cycle.

That is one of the reason the European Union wants to enhance access to scientific information for public investment in funded research projects in the framework of the Horizon 2020 initiative, through five strategies and directions that we will shed light upon in detail in our scientific paper: public participation, science education, support and increase of gender equality, ethics and research integrity, access / open data.
