Abstract EN

This research aims to identify the extent of cyber-bullying cases among females in Saudi society, identify the psychological, social and health effects of cyber-bullying, and to uncover the methods used by observers of the cyber-bullying instances, and to reveal the methods used by cyber-bullies.

the researcher gathered research data through a social survey to collect the necessary information via questionnaire, the research sample consisted of 788 individuals from all university faculties.

the research concluded that the level of cyber-bullying cases in the Saudi society as seen from the point of view of respondents in general is on a moderate level of intensity.

the respondents' responses also indicate that the level of practicing cyber-bullying methods and the interaction of followers with cyber-bullying situations from the respondents' point of view in general is high.

the research also shows a high level of frequency in the psychological, social and health effects of cyber-bullying in general is high.

the research recommends the development of better methods of dialogue and disagreement between members of society, as well as strengthening the religious influence regarding these types of practices through revealing its contradiction to the teachings of religion, morals and social values using the internet.

the study also advocates the use of speeches, seminars, and conferences to increase public attention to this issue, and to make families aware of their responsibilities in the proper digital education of their children, monitoring and guiding their online behavior.
