The study was conducted in Iraq and it aimed to identify the effectiveness of using mathematical modelling in sports communication skills among second intermediate students.

The researchers used the experimental approach and selected a sample of (60) second intermediate students in Al-Asdiqaa Intermediate School.

Furthermore, the researchers divided the sample into two equal groups; test group students who were taught according to mathematical modeling, and control group students who were taught in the traditional method.

Then, the researchers constructed a test of mathematical communication skills that was distributed on the five skills consisting of (28) essay questions.

The validity of the scale was verified via presenting it to a group of experts, its reliability was verified by Alpha Cronbach equation, difficulty coefficient and items recognition coefficient.

After implementing the test to the research sample of the test and control groups and analyzing the data using the t-test equation, it was found that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average grades of test group students who were taught according to mathematical modeling and those of control group students who were taught in the traditional method in favor of the test group.

Thus, the researchers recommend the use of mathematical modelling in teaching intermediate school students
