The aim of AL Waqf for the family is to protect the unity of the family and its structure and to keep the properties of the family from waste and loss, and to preserve the intimate relations among its members by constant charity.

This type of Waqf seems to be firm in Arab societies due to Arabic tradition in joint responsibility and kinship relation.

The present study is analytical comparing Islamic Al-Sharia with secular laws.

It accounts for the definition of Al-Waqf for family and its legitimacy, comparing it with the relevant systems available in non-Islamic countries.

It also deals with the interests of Al-Waqf for family and its intentions and ends with the attitude or Arabic legislations and contemporary jurisprudence towards it.
