Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the subject of begging between the Jordanian Penal Code and the Law on Preventing Human Trafficking.

The study covered all the legal aspects related to begging in terms of the legal texts through which the legal structure of this crime, its pillars, and the legal provisions related to it are clarified.

The results showed that the Jordanian Penal Code has He dealt with a beggar as the perpetrator, but in the Law on Preventing Human Trafficking, he treated him as a victim and not the perpetrator, and the study recommended the necessity of completing the constitutional procedures following the enactment of the draft law on preventing human trafficking, and including legislation related to begging, defining specific acts of begging, which gives an understanding of begging similar to Some Arab legislations.
