The importance of the research lies in that it sheds light on the ethnic and cultural diversity in Andalusia, and there is no doubt that there are previous studies on the location, but those studies focused on the service maids (pleasure) in the palaces of the rulers and their role in the political and military life in Andalusia, so they dealt with (Haifa Salman Al-Imam) The role of slaves and concubines in Andalus during the Umayyad era” and dealt with “the female slaves and their role in public life in Andalusia during the era of the Caliphate and the Sects ( - AH / - AD) a historical and civilized study” by (Hessa Fahd Al-Sawat) and the master's thesis tagged “Al-Saqlaba in Andalusia and their military and political role Until the end of the era of the cult states - AH / - AD” by (Ahmed Mikhlif Hassan Khalaf AlRishawi) and his master's thesis “Slavery in Andalusia during the era of the Umayyad Caliphate - AH / - AD) by (Khansa Sawasi and Masouda Nafti) and his doctoral thesis The Saqalba and their political and cultural role in Andalusia” by (Ahmed Hamid Al-Majali) and the research “Saqalaba, eunuchs in Andalusia, the modern era of the Emirate and the Caliphate - AH / - - AD” by (Khazal Yassin Mustafa), although this working class provided many services the Social and cultural inside the palaces of the Caliphs, and outside palaces in social and cultural institutions, and information about this class is almost scarce and scattered news in historical sources despite their large numbers and their distinguished role in social and cultural life, and the use of servants (such as slaves) has started since the establishment of the Umayyad state in Andalusia As servants in palaces and using them in wars as a military power, Ibn Adhari says their use in military service is “about two thousand in the military” ( ) Thus, the use of servants, especially slaves, began because they are distinguished by strength of the body and patience for hard work.
