The objectives of the current research is to identify: 1.

Motivation towards environmental sustainability among students of the College ofEducation for Pure Sciences – Ibn Al-Haytham2.

Statistically significant differences towards environmental sustainability accordingto the gender variable (males, females)To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher adopted the descriptiveresearch method, and the research community was identified and its sample was selected: fourth-stage students, Department of Chemistry/Morning Studies at the College ofEducation for Pure Sciences –Ibn Al-Haitham, for the year (2020-2021), and the researchsample consisted of (100) students By (47) male students and (53) female students.

The scale of motivation towards environmental sustainability was built and consisted of(30) items.

After verifying the psychometric properties, the scale was applied to the research sample, and the results showed that the students of the College of Education forPure Sciences – Ibn Al-Haitham had a motivation towards environmental sustainability.

And there is no effect of the gender variable on the motivation towards environmentalsustainability.

In light of these results, the researcher developed a set of recommendations and suggestions.
