Abstract EN

The current research aims to build a measure of self-confidence among middle school students in schools affiliated with the first education directorates ofRusafa in Baghdad governorate according to the gender variable.

The researchersample was selected from the total population and100 male and female studentswere selected in a stratified random manner, in order to identify the variable ofself-confidence the researcher prepared the items of the scale of self -confidences among middle school students based on the humanistic theory adopted by theresearcher in preparing the scale.

the number of items was 21.

A triple gradation of the alternatives thus takes a correction ( 1, 2, 3 ) the validity of the tool wasverified by virtual validity by presenting it to the experts and the reliability by there-test method, and the data was processed statistically through the use of statistical analysis of the paragraphs, and the results showed that the students do nothave an equal degree of self-confidence in the sample as a whole, and as for thegender variable, the results showed that males and females have the same levelof confidence The researcher recommended the necessity of strengthening andenhancing the level of self-confidence among middle school students throughlectures given by professors.
