English Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of strategic intelligence on the effectiveness of decision-making through administrative policies and procedures at Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A model consisting of three main variables was designed and formulated to achieve the objectives of the study.

The independent variable represents strategic intelligence.

The mediating variable represents administrative policies and procedures whereas the dependent variable represents the effectiveness of the decision-making process.

The researcher used two tools to collect study data by using the descriptive analytical method.

The first tool : the questionnaire that was distributed to an intent sample of the total population of the study.

This sample amounted of ( 156 ) individuals from the senior and middle management at Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then retrieved ( 146 ) valid questionnaires for analysis and study in addition to the other tool used in data collection, ( it is the interview ); A structured interview was conducted with a special personality in Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, containing ( 13 ) questions.

After evaluating and testing the credibility and stability of the study measurement tools, data analysis and hypothesis testing were carried out using the appropriate statistical tools through the Statistical Package Program ( SPSS V.

20 ) and Statistical Analysis Program ( Amos 20 ).

This study has found many results, the most important are : • There is a statistically significant impact at the level of strategic intelligence dimensions on the effectiveness of decision-making.

• There is a statistically significant impact of the strategic vision dimension on the effectiveness of the decision-making process at Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The study concludes with the following recommendations, primarily : • The need to involve managers and employees at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in specialized training courses aimed at improving the levels of knowledge about strategic intelligence in all its components and dimensions and to give participants in these training programs a professional certificate in strategic intelligence.

• The Ministry's senior management should activate the partnership dimension through establishing regional and international strategic alliances, allowing it to benefit from their experiences and expertise in overcoming crises and solving problems.
