English Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effect of using brain storm and thinking maps strategies on developing creative thinking and achievement among eleventhgraders in Qasbah Directorate of education in Irbid.
The sample of the study consisted of ( 53 ) students of eleventhgradersfrom the scientific streameleventhgraders in Malka Comprehensive Secondary school and Almuthanna bin harethaComprehensiveSecondaryschool for Boys, distributed over three groups,the first and second groups are experimental, Wheras the third groups is a traditional, the first experimental group consisted of ( 15 ) students who studied their textbooksusing brain storm strategy ,And the secondgroup consisted of ( 18 ) students who studied their textbooksusingthinking mapsstrategythe third group consisted of ( 20 ) studentswho studied their textbooksusing the regular method.
The study toolsconsistedoftorance test for creative thinking and anachievement test in chemistry prepared by the researcher for the scientific streameleventhgraders.
The study has found statistically significant differences in the post achievement andcreative thinkingdevelopment in favor of the tow experimental groups.
The results also found apparently positive differences in favor of the group of studentswho studied their textbooksusingbrain storm strategyin the creative thinkingdevelopment among thescientific streameleventhgraders.
